All your trouble will be over, so will your painyou are gonna see those blue skies bursting right through the rainThe higher you climb, the lower you fallYou got too close to heaven, that’s allNow in the morning you can cry all you want to- we’ll spend the whole day weepingRight now I want you to lay down your weary headand let me see you sleepingYou’ve been walking around baby, inflamed and ashamedfeeling like you’re one inch tallYou got too close to heaven, that’s allYou’re way too hard on yourself baby- you got some pretty basic things wrongYou wouldn’t believe me if I told you why I wrote you into this songYou’re looking at your heart baby, and you’re calling it blackbut like Icarus and like SaulYou got too close to heaven, that’s allNow I know this hurt you’re feeling – I’ve felt these same things tooI’ve got spaces way down deep inside of me that are just the same as youYou wanna wrap your arms around your head, turn out the lightsand roll yourself into a ballYou got too close to heaven, that’s allAre you blinded by the brilliance ?Are you dazzled by the Light ?Why is it I see nothing but emptiness in your tired beaten eyesthat once were brightI know you just can’t help but run when you hear that sweet voice callYou got too close to heaven, that’s allI walked a mile for you babyso won’t you smile for me baby ?

in tanto supplício?

Quis non posset contristári,
Christi Matrem contemplári
doléntem cum Filio?

Pro peccátis suae gentis
vidit Jesum in torméntis
et flagéllis sùbditum.

Vidit suum dulcem natum
moriéndo desolátum,
dum emísit spíritum.

Eia, mater, fons amóris,
me sentíre vim dolóris
fac, ut tecum lúgeam.

Fac, ut árdeat cor meum
in amándo Christum Deum,
ut sibi compláceam.

Sancta Mater, istud agas,
crucifíxi fige plagas
cordi meo válide.

Tui Nati vulneráti,
tam dignáti pro me pati,
poenas mecum dívide.

Fac me tecum pìe flere [Fac me vere tecum flere],
Crucifíxo condolére
donec ego víxero.

Iuxta crucem tecum stare,
Et me tibi sociáre [te libenter sociare]
in planctu desídero.

Virgo vírginum praeclára,
mihi iam non sis amára,
fac me tecum plángere.

Fac, ut portem Christi mortem,
passiónis fac consòrtem
et plagas recólere.

Fac me plagis vulnerári,
cruce hac inebriári
et cruòre Fílii.

Flammis ne urar succènsus [Inflammatus et accensus],
per te, Virgo, sim defénsus
in die iudícii.

Fac me cruce custodíri
morte Christi praemuníri,
confovéri grátia.

Quando corpus moriétur,
fac, ut ánimae donétur
paradísi glória.

Amen.

Italy is historically, culturally and intellectually under dictatorship since the postwar period; the dictatorship of the mediocre inability of all institutions, of the ferocious ignorance, mafia collusion, corruption, patronage baronism, the greedy Church, NATO, the Franco-German axis, and anyone who wants to shop for our companies and infrastructures, thanks to the new radical-chic neo-liberalism of the Italian left. All this thanks to a political-media-administrative-cultural apparatus, worthy of the Banana Republic. If Italy were free, it would be the country for GDP, for art, culture, music and crafts, at the forefront ….
