It should be the common commitment of the human species to seek answers to our very existence and explore the universe, as well as ensure a dignified life on this planet. Unfortunately, mediocrity (power, money, cruelty) is embedded in our DNA, thwarting the efforts of the enlightened few. At this rate, we will never reach Type 1 civilization.
